AasPass ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

When you use AasPass through WhatsApp, we collect:

WhatsApp phone number — used to identify you and send you messages
Display name — your WhatsApp profile name, used to personalise your experience
Location data — your current location, airport pickup point and drop-off destination, used to find nearby matches
Messages sent to the bot — stored to process your requests and improve the service

2. How We Use Your Information

To match you with nearby passengers heading to similar drop-off destinations
To send you match notifications and updates via WhatsApp
To improve the matching algorithm and service quality
To handle support requests when you report an issue

3. Information Sharing

We share limited information only when a match is confirmed:

Your WhatsApp number is shared with your matched co-passenger so you can coordinate
Your drop location (coordinates or area name) is shared with your matched co-passenger

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in our database hosted on Supabase (PostgreSQL). We retain your profile and trip data for service continuity. Conversation logs may be retained for up to 90 days for debugging and improvement purposes.

5. Third-Party Services

AasPass uses the following third-party services to operate:

Meta / WhatsApp Cloud API — to send and receive WhatsApp messages
Supabase — secure database hosting
Railway — server hosting and deployment
OpenCage — reverse geocoding (converting GPS coordinates to area names)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy and data handling practices.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Delete your data — send "STOP" to AasPass on WhatsApp to deactivate your account. To request complete data deletion, contact us below.
Access your data — send "STATUS" to AasPass on WhatsApp to see your current profile and trip information
Opt out — send "STOP" at any time to stop receiving messages

7. Location Data

Location is only collected when you explicitly share it through WhatsApp's location sharing feature. We use your current location to confirm you are at a supported airport, and your drop-off location to find passengers heading to nearby destinations. Location data is not shared with third parties beyond your matched co-passenger's drop area.

8. Children's Privacy

AasPass is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of AasPass after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
